May be this image is not very clear. Let me share what it says – it says that on 1st April, if anyone came with their old car, they would get a brand new BMW (in exchange) to take away.
Most people thought it was a joke and no one turned up, except this girl you see in the picture. And she was absolutely elated to drive back in her new BMW.
So why did most people not turn up? What stopped the others from going and exchanging their old car in lieu of a new BMW? Well, here is my view – it was all in their minds . . .and what did their (many) minds think – oh! this is surely a joke. . . .no way, it cant be true . . . and more so – I don’t want to be embarassed. . .they will think I am a fool . . . others will laugh at me . . .
And if ‘your’ mind is thinking like that –
There will never be a time, when everything is perfect – you are mentally and physically available, there is no work pressure, you are more-than-adequately skilled, you exactly know (by the hour) how the next month will look like, your working style matches every one else’s in the team! (that is utopia) There will always be pressing requirements, work pressures, skills that you are not 100% sure of, dependencies, changes, different personalities (and this is reality) . . . and so many others who will find faults and say that you are not good enough, and will try to pull you down . . . etc – remember – it is YOU who has to make the most of it and take the leap of faith. . .
